On the way back to my car today, something caught my eye as I passed the Big C charity shop in Sheringham. Normally they do not have much – in fact, nothing, until today. I saw a little cabinet with a glass top, door with a couple shelves and very conveniently, it has two holes in the back for the cords. Some painting it will surely shape up nicely and it was C.H.E.A.P at only THREE POUNDS!
I’m looking for something to hold the telephone and router as it is currently sitting on my painted table in the hall and looks like crap. We were told by the that we had a fault in our line, so we’d have to plug all our devices into the main box, which is out in the hallway. I also need to get some longer cords and run them along the edge of the floor/wall, but for now it is what it is.
Here are the BEFORE photos. I hoped to prime it today, but my migraine got in the way and was in bed at 6:30 pm!
Since I still have some green and blue paint left, I may use one of those colors. Or I might just get a totally new color in a tester pot, like a bright tangerine color. The only trouble is that they cannot make a high gloss in the tester pot size – satin finish is the shiniest option.
Not bad for THREE POUNDS, right?!
|Very handy it already has holes for the cords.|
Here are a few photos I found online of cabinets painted – the green color is too mute for me, but the white does look good too but maybe too boring?
LOVE this tangerine color… humm..
Update: I used up the remaining pot of the high glossy turquoise color but think I may need to get a tiny bit more to do a touch up … but will only get a small sized tester pot in satin to do a second coat.
