Wardrobes have arrived, finally!

Our house is starting to come together.  Yesterday our three wardrobes, which were orginally going to be delivered on Wednesday, arrived from Restore Holt – The Benjamin Foundation  I first saw them posted on their Facebook page and Nils went it to check them out and bought them.  They are really huge and will store all our clothes – or at least I think they will.   Normally I’m not a lover of the light wood, but these are actually pretty decent and makes the room light and airy.  I need curtains for our rooms asap too – so thinking light grey or beige nothing too flowery or bold.

I also popped over to the Charity Shop in Cromer, which proceeds support the school in Africa.  I knew they were having a 50% off closing down sale in their Cromer location and moving back to North Walsham to open a second store in the town center. I picked up 54 coat hangers from them for 2.50, so now that Nils is back, perhaps our cloths will be 100% put away today – or over the weekend, as we will go out for a bit of a family day shortly.

Nils’ two double rail wardrobes.
My triple wardrobe.

I’m still on the hunt for a bed frame for our bed.  I was doing some searches online and had trouble finding our Queen size bed. Turns out they call our Queen a King & our King is called a Super King. So I’m not sure if I want wood or metal, but I’m certain it cannot have a foot board as Nils’ legs hang off a big now, so it’s not an option.

Author: Stars Stripes and Mayonnaise

I am an American currently living in the Netherlands. I enjoy snapping photos and blogging along the way about our family’s journey as we moved from USA to the UK for a couple years then onto Ireland for three & half years and now in our next adventure in the Netherlands where the kids and are are learning Dutch. As you can probably tell by the name of the blog “Stars, Stripes & Mayonnaise” our family is half American & half Dutch and if you know one thing about the Dutch is that they LOVE their mayonnaise! I seen ’em do it man, they fuckin‘ drown ’em in it. When I started this blog way when it was to capturing memories of our family – essentially a journal of our family adventures, their love of mayonnaise, my love of photography, D.I.Y., crafting, sea glass hunting and exploring with our two amazing kids.
