BBQ with Lise & Family at Pake & Beppe’s

After heading to Felbrigg Hall, Garden & Estate today, we headed over to Pake & Beppe’s place for a family BBQ with Lise & her children.

Not really sure were it was picked up but Soren found a tiny baby frog, which the kids held for a bit before releasing.

Beppe made a nice tee pee again with the bamboo poles, tree and white curtains and it was, naturally, a huge hit for all the kids.

Vaughn has a little white stuffed bunny which was used to play “HIDE THE BUNNY” and this went on for well over an hour.  Each kid would line up with backs turned and one person would hide it.  Apart from inside the tee pee, Beppe made, there was not to many other places, so it was often found in the matter of seconds.

Maebh was smitten about baby Adrian again and with some help from Beppe, she was able to sing to him and give him a soft kiss.

Tjibbe had prepared four different delicious types of food on skewers to be grilled.  We had a halumi cheese, zuchini and red pepper skewer, chicken curry one, doughnut peaches with pork and shrimp and chorizzo… they were all thought out, well prepared and very yummy!!  Wish I got better photos.

When it came time to eat, Maebh wanted to set the table so that she can ensure she was sitting next to Vaughn.

And it wouldn’t be complete without being tossed in the air after they ate! All kids agreed to do it! 🙂

We were there for a couple years then onto Ireland for the past 3+ years. As you can probably tell by the name of the blog “Stars, Stripes & Mayonnaise” our family is 1/2 American & 1/2 Dutch and if you know one thing about the Dutch is that they LOVE their mayonnaise! When I started this blog way when it was to capturing memories of our family adventures, their love of mayonnaise, my love of photography, D.I.Y., crafting, sea glass hunting and exploring Europe and beyond with our two amazing kids. It’s essentially a journal of our family.
