Spanish Caravan Take Me Away!

I don’t think Nils takes me serious or will ever agree, but I’d like to have a pull-able caravan, so we can go on a “touring holiday” as it’s called in the UK.

Nothing fancy (really!) but I think it would be totally fun for our family (well, fun for me & the kids) to travel around and enjoy living in the UK.  Nils says he’s too tall at 6′ 8″, so he’ll never be able to sleep in it.  My idea: he could get a nice tent and sleep in that, while me and the kids stay inside the van.  🙂  Seriously though, I think it could be such a fun way to explore the UK!

Here is a caravan which is for sale on  Cosmetically, clearly needs to be spruced up and for that price will probably fall apart on our first trip, but you get the gist of what I want to get.  The better quality ones I’ve seen for sale are around 800 – 3K!

Perhaps I can convince him to rent a touring caravan from for a week as a “test”.  I’d even like a weekend stay at a place like Pinewoods in Wells-Next-The-Sea or the place in Hunstanton in a static caravan. They offer so much for families. They do not have the negative connotation here in the UK as they do at hoem.

Shire 4gts Mustang 4berth plus awning – 450!
4 Berth caravan with NO LEAKS AND NO DAMP, fridge, cooker, heating, working electrics,  crack in one window but been covered and does not leak, also has a awning, change in circumstances forces sale, can deliver within a reasonable distance at cost of petrol

I showed Soren a photo of a it and asked him if he’d like to buy it & what will we do with it.  His reply: Yes, we’d first buy a car with a trailer hook on it and we can tow it around.  We could go to ummm, London!”.  Not sure if we’d go to London, but we’d go to Peppa Pig World, Thomas Train and Lego Land!  We will NOT go to Vauxhall Park in Great Yarmouth, that is for sure.  Haven’t ruled out California Cliffs though!  Now lets work on Papa.

Carry me Caravan take me away
Take me to Portugal, take me to Spain

Yes, I know you can.
Trade winds find Galleons lost in the sea
I know where treasure is waiting for me
Silver and gold in the mountains of Spain
I have to see you again and again
Take me, Spanish Caravan
Yes, I know you can

UPDATE:  While I’d never buy this one, I just have to share this posting I just found on – I am not sure if it is for real or a joke:   I get that occasionally you might make a type on a word, but this is just funny!

Author: Stars Stripes and Mayonnaise

I am an American currently living in the Netherlands. I enjoy snapping photos and blogging along the way about our family’s journey as we moved from USA to the UK for a couple years then onto Ireland for three & half years and now in our next adventure in the Netherlands where the kids and are are learning Dutch. As you can probably tell by the name of the blog “Stars, Stripes & Mayonnaise” our family is half American & half Dutch and if you know one thing about the Dutch is that they LOVE their mayonnaise! I seen ’em do it man, they fuckin‘ drown ’em in it. When I started this blog way when it was to capturing memories of our family – essentially a journal of our family adventures, their love of mayonnaise, my love of photography, D.I.Y., crafting, sea glass hunting and exploring with our two amazing kids.
