Painting of the Frog Pond, Boston

Ever since I attended a session at ThePaintBar.com, I’ve become hooked on painting. I dabbled with it in high school but always felt that my stuff was not good enough and an unhealthy competition with my mom, who is an artist.

Anyway, I started up again and I’m enjoying it.

I’ve been eyeing a few upcoming paintings but for one reason or another, I’m unable to make it to them, so I thought why not just do it myself here. Give it a whirl and see how it goes.

Here is the instructor’s copy and here is a series of my work, leading up to the completed piece hanging on my wall. Are there things I’d like to change, sure, but I’m just going to leave it alone and maybe do another some day, but for now, I’ll move on to the Make Way For Ducklings painting next.

Perhaps in my next house, an art studio cave for me is in order 🙂
