With a newborn baby girl in our room and a boy who is 2 years, 3 months we couldn’t have him jumping out of his crib. In a few months, we’ll look at getting him a big boy bed, but for now, he has to stay in the crib.
He never actually had a chance to climb out of the crib but the first time we saw him with one leg over, we ran out to Babies R US and picked up a Crib Tent.
Problem solved – safety first! Note the PJs have been removed during nap 🙂
Six years later: I come back to this post to make an edit to the photos and found out that crib tents have been somewhat controversial in the following years. Anyway, thankfully our child survived the several months we used it. We moved from Winthrop to Beverly into a house with 3 bedrooms, in which he moved to a big boy bed and Maebh, a new born at the time moved into her own crib (without a tent).
Now that I think about it, I’m not even sure what I did it with back then – probably sold it on Craigslist.
