Crib Tent: Not yet ready for the big boy bed.

With a newborn baby girl in our room and a boy who is 2 years, 3 months we couldn’t have him jumping out of his crib.  In a few months, we’ll look at getting him a big boy bed, but for now he has to stay in the crib@

He never actually had a chance to climb out of the crib at the first time we saw him with one leg over, we ran out to Babies R US and picked up a Crib Tent.

Problem solved – safety first!   Note the PJs have been removed during nap 🙂

Six years later:  I come back to this post to make an edit to the photos and found out that crib tents have been somewhat controversial in the following years.   Anyway, thankfully our child survived the several months we used it.   We moved from Winthrop to Beverly into a 3 bedrooms, in which he moved to a big boy bed and Maebh, a new born at the time moved into her own crib (without tent).
Now that I think about ii, I’m not even sure what I did it with back then – probably sold it on Craigslist.

Author: Stars Stripes and Mayonnaise

I am an American currently living in the Netherlands. I enjoy snapping photos and blogging along the way about our family’s journey as we moved from USA to the UK for a couple years then onto Ireland for three & half years and now in our next adventure in the Netherlands where the kids and are are learning Dutch. As you can probably tell by the name of the blog “Stars, Stripes & Mayonnaise” our family is half American & half Dutch and if you know one thing about the Dutch is that they LOVE their mayonnaise! I seen ’em do it man, they fuckin‘ drown ’em in it. When I started this blog way when it was to capturing memories of our family – essentially a journal of our family adventures, their love of mayonnaise, my love of photography, D.I.Y., crafting, sea glass hunting and exploring with our two amazing kids.
